Homemade Ice Cream Recipes

July is National Ice Cream Month and I’m here for it along with all the other ice cream lovers! Ice Cream is the best summer treat and the perfect way to enjoy something sweet on a hot summer day.

Storebought ice cream and ice cream from the ice cream shop is great and all, but you can really make something special and some new favorite recipes when you make it yourself! Satisfy those ice cream cravings with these ice cream flavors.

A few of these homemade ice cream recipes are Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker recipes. It’s the best ice cream maker for churned ice cream and it works so well!

Common ingredients for a basic ice cream base include heavy whipping cream (or heavy cream) and whole milk. The fat content in the milk and cream is what makes the ice cream so good.

Egg yolks are often found in egg custard base ice cream recipes. The egg yolks help give the ice cream an ultra creamy texture.

No churn ice cream recipes usually have a base of heavy whipping cream and sweetened condensed milk. Most vegan ice cream recipes call for coconut milk and coconut cream in the base.

Be sure to store your homemade ice cream in an airtight container to help avoid freezer burn. Bring your homemade ice cream to room temperature for a few minutes before scooping and enjoy!
